Hotels in Bali Extend Solidarity to Flood Survivors in Sumatra through BAZNAS Partnership
Bali, December 16, 2025 – Demonstrating a strong commitment to social responsibility, HARRIS Hotel & Residences Riverview Kuta Bali together with POP! Hotel Kuta Beach have joined hands with the National Alms Agency (BAZNAS) to deliver humanitarian assistance to communities affected by severe flooding in several parts of Sumatra.
In recent weeks, floods have struck a number of regions including Aceh, Agam, Sibolga, North Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, and South Tapanuli. The disaster has disrupted daily activities, damaged homes, and limited access to basic necessities, leaving many residents in urgent need of support. Responding to these conditions, the two Bali-based hotels initiated a relief effort as a form of solidarity with the affected communities.
Through their collaboration with BAZNAS, a total of IDR 6,726,000 in aid was successfully collected and distributed. The assistance is expected to help address immediate needs on the ground, ranging from essential supplies to support for post-disaster recovery.

Dhony Himawan, General Manager of HARRIS Hotel & Residences Riverview Kuta Bali and POP! Hotel Kuta Beach, stated that the initiative reflects the empathy and shared concern of both management and staff. “We believe that being part of the hospitality industry means more than serving guests. It also comes with a responsibility to stand with communities in times of hardship. This contribution represents our support for our brothers and sisters in Sumatra who are facing the impact of flooding,” he said.
Management of POP! Hotel Kuta Beach emphasized that partnering with BAZNAS plays a crucial role in ensuring the aid is distributed transparently and reaches those who need it most. The collaboration is expected to create a positive impact and help accelerate recovery efforts in the affected areas.
BAZNAS welcomed the initiative, noting that the donated funds will be channeled through its humanitarian programs and allocated according to the most urgent needs identified in flood-hit regions.
